Advocacy
The Charles River Center is a leader in public policy advocacy. We work in collaboration with Arc Massachusetts and The Arc to advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preserving and protecting their fundamental rights and supporting legislation for civil rights, education, employment, health care, housing, and more.
We champion critical public policies in the legislative, executive and judicial branches of both state and federal government. In addition, we work closely with state and federal agencies that have an influence on the people we serve.
When you become a member of the Charles River Center, your membership fees directly support the advocacy efforts of the Charles River Center, The Arc of Massachusetts and The Arc of the United States. Click here to learn more about membership.
You can also advocate for your family member or loved one by writing directly to your legislators. Click here to learn how to get in contact with your local representatives.
Thank you for interest in helping people with developmental disabilities live productive and fulfilling lives.
