Weekend Adult Respite Services in Sharon Home

Charles River Center offers weekend respite services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their parents and guardians who need to travel over a weekend, or who would just like a break knowing their loved one is safe and in good hands.

CRC’s respite center is located in a lovely two-bedroom home in Sharon that can accommodate up to four adults. Staffing is provided 24/7. While at the house, participants stay busy with day trips, preparing meals, watching movies and playing games together. Respite weekends are offered twice a month as needed. Schedule subject to change so please contact us to confirm and register.

Program Highlights

Two full days of respite provided
Drop off is at 3 pm on Friday and pickup is at 3 pm on Sunday
Staffing ratio is 2:4, 1 overnight staff
Participants enjoy day trips, preparing meals, watching movies and playing games
Weekends include transportation on a community trip

Eligibility

For adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities ages 18+
Advance registration and intake required
Call to confirm accessibility requirements
DDS funding may be provided for families served by the DDS Middlesex West and Newton South Norfolk offices
