Group Homes Specialized for Adults with Autism

Charles River Center provides commmunity-based group homes designed especially for young adults with autism spectrum disorders. These homes offer schedules, routines and functional communication that support skill-based learning for young adults who have exited from autism-specific school programs.

Our residences in Needham, Sharon and Easton are supported throughout the day by behaviorists. Staff works under the direction of a board-certified behavior analyst who provides clinical expertise and training. Many of our residents attend CRC day programs.

CRC is pleased to partner with the Higashi School to enable residents to continue with the Higashi methodology of daily life therapy and positive behavior supports. Our staff receive annual training on the Higashi techniques to ensure a smooth transition into adulthood.

Eligibility

Adults 22+ with autism and/or IDD, DD who are eligible for MA DDS and MassHealth funding
This is a closed referral system dependent upon DDS eligibility and referral. Individuals must be assessed and prioritized for residential services by your regional DDS office.
There is often a long wait list for housing. Emergency placements are prioritized.
