Charles River Center offers fun weekend community groups for teens and young adults that provide a structured opportunities for young men and women with autism and developmental disabilities to meet and socialize with new friends around MetroWest.
Gal Talk and Guy Talk give small groups of women and men opportunities to meet up on Saturdays for lunch and conversation at a local restaurant of their choice. Each same-gender groups chat and socializing, while discussing topics relevant to transition to adulthood, social and online etiquette. Relationship building is at the forefront.
These groups are faciliated by experienced CRC staff, with a supervision ratio of 2:6/8. Each group runs for 4 sessions and groups are offered throughout the year subject to funding. Contact your CRC Case Manager for more information.
Offered once a month on Friday evenings starting fall 2022. Teens with disabilities can participate in group activities and outings that build their social skills in a fun community settings such as the Painting Place, Level 99 and trampoline parks. Teens will be responsible for managing their own money and socializing with peers. For youth ages 13-19. Fee is $25 per day. See the Events calendar for registration info.
