Program Director, Main Street, Millis
Hussein has been at Charles River Center for 10 years. He started as a Residential Counselor, was eventually promoted to Supervisor, and two years ago was made Program Director of our residential home in Millis. Most rewarding part of his job? Getting to know the individuals he works with. He has found that each individual has their own unique personality and strengths – he relishes the challenge of drawing them out. It is no surprise to anyone that Hussein was recently honored as Residential Staff Person of the Year at our Annual Awards Celebration. Hussein is especially adept at working with individuals to overcome behavioral challenges, by using de-escalation techniques and developing strategies that help them feel in control of their lives and their surroundings. “I see these individuals, I remember where they were, and see where they are now, and it makes me smile.”
Outside of work, Hussein enjoys playing soccer, watching sports and spending time with his wife and four children.
Thank you, Hussein, for your many years of service. We are so grateful for the life-changing work you do.
