Lorvely Laurent

Residential Counselor Marked Tree Road
Let’s get to know Lorvely. Lorvely has been working at Charles River Center for 15 years! She started as relief staff in the Day Hab, and then after four years, transitioned to our residential program. She has spent the last 11 years working at Marked Tree Road and has gotten very close to the gentlemen who reside there. Most rewarding part of her job? Just being able to help individuals with disabilities. When she was younger, she helped take care of her uncle who had special needs. She notes that this experience is what inspired her to begin her career at Charles River Center. Favorite part of her job? Cooking for the residents. She takes great pride in the fact that all four gentlemen have grown to love her cooking, especially dishes that are native to her home country of Haiti. “I try to make them happy – just like I’m cooking for my kids.”
Outside of work, Lorvely also enjoys keeping house and cooking for her own family. She has two young adult children, one who works as an economist in New York, and another, who is currently in college in Ohio studying business.
Thank you, Lorvely, for the care and compassion you extend to the individuals at Marked Tree Road. They are so lucky to have you!
